The Skin Gym Spa Policies

SCHEDULING POLICY [updated 2023]

We value your time as our clients & set aside time exclusively for you!

We reserve the right to require at booking appointments with a credit card regardless of tender at checkout. Due to high demand and with regard to the time of our service providers. We respectfully request a minimum notification of 24 hours in the advance of your cancellation or reschedule in order to accommodate others who wish to be serviced.

If you schedule an appointment (in person, on the phone, or online) and we do not hear from you to cancel, we will assume you're coming. We send out email and SMS texts to confirm 24-72 hours prior to your appointment as a courtesy.

NO SHOW + LATE CANCELLATIONS

We reserve the right to require at booking, to hold credit card information on file per our company policy for any no-shows, late cancellations as well as same-day bookings. Please note we require 24 hours notice of appointment cancellation.  Prepaid appointments will be redeemed in full. No show appointments are charged in full.

 A lack of contact does not equate to a cancellation. No contact or no-shows will be charged 100% of the service. Multiple no-show appointments are subject to prepaid appointments or refusal of future services.

SAME DAY APPOINTMENT:

Appointments booked for the same day are considered confirmed, cannot be canceled, and are subject to the cancellation fee of 100% of the service scheduled.

A same-day appointment modification to remove service is also considered a cancellation.

MODIFICATIONS + RESCHEDULING:

Late Cancellations or modifications will be charged 50% of the scheduled service(s) when the minimum times are not met. A cancellation to reschedule an appointment to a new date also requires 24 hours notice.

 

HEALTH ALERTS
 Guests with medical conditions are advised to consult their doctors before booking any spa services. Kindly inform your therapist of any existing medical conditions, allergies, special concerns by completing the required forms prior to your treatment. 

If you or someone you have had contact with is exhibiting flu-like symptoms such as fever, cough, shortness of breath, muscle aches, chills, or recent sustained loss of taste or smell, please reach out as soon as possible reschedule and contact your primary care provider.

 

COVID-19 CANCELLATIONS

Illness of any kind or exposure to someone who has COVID-19 are excusable reasons for cancellations and will not result in a full fee. However, your next appointment may not be scheduled for 2 weeks following your cancellation. This policy is in place to ensure the health and safety of our staff and clients at The Skin Gym.

COVID-19 HIGHLIGHTS

Though we've always adhered to the highest level of sanitation, we are including additional measures outlined here:

  • Sanitization throughout the day and in between appointments.

  • Reduced hours with staggered appointment times.

  • Social distancing measures will be enforced.

  • We ask that all clients arrive at their appointments alone.


PUNCTUALITY

We request that you arrive on time to your scheduled appointment time. This is to ensure you enjoy your experience and for our therapists not to rush your appointment. When booking services at The Skin Gym your appointment is scheduled with a therapist whose time is allocated exclusively for your booked treatment. If you are late for a scheduled appointment, our company policy offers you three options:

1. We may opt to shorten your treatment (full payment due).

2. You may prefer to reschedule your appointment at a more convenient time, however, a cancellation charge will incur.

3. Your appointment would be fully canceled and charged in full.

SERIES + PACKAGES

All series packages have an expiration date of 90-days. This is to ensure you receive the desired results. Series are weekly standing and scheduled appointments until the expiration of the purchased series. If the number of appointments within a purchased series is not completed within the expiration date, any future booked appointment will be charged a full value. A refund of outstanding appointments will not be applied.

PAYMENTS
We accept all major credit cards, The Skin Gym gift cards, and good old-fashioned cash. We do not accept personal checks in-spa.

GRATUITIES
You may leave gratuities at your discretion (for inquiring minds... 20% is standard in our industry) preferably in cash. We also have virtual tipping options with Venmo & CashApp which are greatly appreciated!

REFUNDS OR RETURNS
No cash or credit card refunds or returns on any products or services. Spa credit may be applied at management’s discretion.

Please Note: We are unable to offer refunds for products due to skin irritation. We stand by the quality of the products we sell. If you're having trouble deciding what products might work best for your skin, schedule a skin consultation/product pick up or contact us for a recommendation. We're happy to help!

CHILDREN + ADDITIONAL GUESTS
At The Skin Gym we love children. Unfortunately, children or additional guests are not allowed in the spa or studio waiting room unless they are receiving services. No exceptions!

CELL PHONE ETIQUETTE

At The Skin Gym we take self-care very seriously! That’s why we have a no cell phone policy, to keep you zen and to respect our other clients’ self-care time as well. Thank you for your understanding in advance.

GIFT CARDS + CERTIFICATES
Not sure what to purchase for your loved one or what service they may want or need?

Gift cards are the quickest, most convenient way to express gratitude. Gift cards and certificates, including virtual gift cards are available for purchase at The Skin Gym or online.

This card is not transferable and The Skin Gym is not responsible for any lost, stolen, damaged, or unauthorized use of the card. In compliance with CAS Law, all purchased gift cards/certificates have no expiration date or service fee.

However, a $50 inactivity fee will be charged for gift cards/certificates redeemed after 25 months from being issued.
